While most South Carolina resident’s sought out shelter and high ground when Hurricane Joaquin hit in early October, our D.C. crew threw on their rain gear, grabbed their cameras and went out to face the rain.

Our crew hit the streets of Charlotte, NC for The Weather Channel with Paul Goodloe as the on-air talent. Despite the heavy winds, excessive flooding, and our soaked cameramen – the shoot experienced no major problems.

Some brave Charlotte locals left their dry homes and came to the rainy shoot to chat with Goodloe and to snag a few pictures – oh the fandom.

Hurricane Joaquin is the strongest hurricane the Atlantic ocean has seen this hurricane season.
