Dani Garcia-Pozo has been involved with student film productions since enrolling at the University of Georgia in the fall of 2021. He has worked as a production assistant on numerous projects, ranging from "Hypoallergenic" by SharkWing Sketch Comedy in 2021 to "Wilted Flowers" by Lauren Kring in 2024. He starred as talent in the award-winning film "Reflections," also by Lauren Kring, in 2024. His passion lies in scriptwriting, and he has written comedic scripts that have been adapted into short films, such as "Trench Warfare" in 2024 and "Sock It To Me" in 2025. While at the University of Georgia, Garcia-Pozo was taught cinematography by award-winning director Lauren Musgrove. Moreover, he was taught screenwriting by professional writers Booker T. Mattison and Matthew Nolte Evans. As a result of these classes, Garcia-Pozo can write a draft for comedy script in less than one day, skillfully record on a Black Magic camera, and set-up lighting equipment on a set, among other skills. Garcia-Pozo pursued an internship in Los Angeles with Mosaic Media Group in summer 2024, where he did script coverage, assisted talent directors, and gathered information on casting calls. While there, he connected with various professionals and expanded his breadth of understanding of the film industry. A native of Lima, Peru, Garcia-Pozo is capable of speaking Spanish fluently. Due to his Peruvian heritage, Garcia-Pozo can also speak and understand a limited degree of Quechua. He is also adept in the use of Microsoft Suite and Adobe Suite programs.
