About Corbin
In 2018, Rowell began directing music videos for the local acoustic rock band, NeVeRSeeN. Rowell co-wrote, co-directed, and produced a horror short film for the 2019 Richmond 48 Hour Horror Film Project titled 'The Collector's Chest'. This film received critical praise and won five awards, more than any other film in the 2019 competition, including 2ND PLACE BEST FILM, AUDIENCE CHOICE, BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY, BEST EDITING, and BEST SOUND DESIGN. In October 2022, he released 'Sutherland' - a horror short filmed on location at a 200-year old Civil War farmhouse. 'Sutherland' was a Finalist for Best Cinematographer at the 2022 Montreal Independent Film Festival and winner of five awards at the January 2022 Hollywood Blood Horror Fest, including BEST MYSTERY, BEST DIRECTOR, BEST ACTING DUO, BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY, and BEST SOUND DESIGN. 'Sutherland' also won the award for BEST VIRGINIA FILM in the 2022 Magic of Horror Film Festival in November 2022. And in November 2022, Rowell released 'Chime', a horror short film created for the 2022 Richmond 48 Hour Horror Film Project. 'Chime' made it to the Top 10 Screening, where it shocked audiences and garnered tons of adoration from horror fans.
