Hi, my name is Emerson Brown. I've spent the past seven years working across all aspects of production, starting as an editor, transitioning into a camera operator/editor, and now working as a Director of Photography for a wide range of clients—from The Volume, Silver Tribe, and Bleacher Report to Al Jazeera, ESPN, and TNT. This experience has allowed me to work on projects spanning both high-level broadcast standards and more creatively driven productions. My background with cameras began with the Canon C200, RED Komodo, and Lumix GH5, and I now primarily shoot on the Sony FX9 with a Sony FX3 as a secondary camera. I also operate with a full audio package, including a Sound Devices 633 field mixer. That said, I'm comfortable adapting to any gear provided to ensure the job gets done at the highest level. I approach every project as a collaborative process. With experience across a variety of shooting styles and production environments, I'm flexible in both creative direction and execution, aligning closely with each client's vision. Working in Los Angeles alongside some of the best in the industry has reinforced a simple mindset: get the job done—period. Originally from Michigan, I'm grateful for the opportunity with Assignment Desk to continue expanding my skill set and pushing my capabilities across a wide range of productions.
