About Jack

  • What cameras and equipment have you worked with the most?

While I have experience shooting with Canon, Blackmagic and Panasonic cameras, I’ve been a member of the Sony family for quite some time now. Some of my favorites include the Fx9, Fs5 mkii, F5, and Fx3. As far as lighting goes, I really don’t think you can beat a Nanlite 300 with a nice big softbox for a flattering key and some extra 60’s to really paint and shape your background in an interesting way.

  • Do you specialize in a specific shoot style?

I love the art of crafting a good looking interview, but I also really enjoy capturing the energy of a moment shooting run and gun or event stuff. Any opportunity I can get to learn something new, or get creative with my work is a great day for me. Whatever the situation, I’m ready to tell your story.

  • Do you have a favorite project you’ve worked on?

My favorite days are the ones that stretch the boundaries of what I do as a camera operator. In our line of work we never quite know where our office is going to be, and I love the projects that take me places I never thought I would go. One project that sticks out for me was a docu-style piece about a private pilot from NYC. Filming such an iconic skyline from the backseat of a Cessna was a surreal experience.
