Setups we cover

We scale the package to the format instead of selling a fixed bundle.

Two-camera sit-down

The standard editorial interview: a tight and a wide on the subject, or a cross-shot on two people. Lav plus boom, practical lighting that matches the room.

Executive and corporate

C-suite interviews shot in offices and conference rooms. We treat the space, control the background and keep the setup small enough not to intimidate the subject.

Press junkets and media days

Back-to-back interviews on a tight turnaround with a locked setup, so every outlet gets the same look and the day stays on schedule.

Remote and satellite hits

LiveU and live transmission for interviews that go straight to air, plus recorded backups on the same shoot.

Documentary interviews

Longer-form sit-downs with more considered lighting and a second angle for cutaways, matched across multiple shoot days and cities.

B-roll to match

Most interview bookings include supporting b-roll of the subject at work, shot on the same visit so it cuts together cleanly.

Where we shoot interviews

50+ US markets, staffed locally.

An interview series running through several cities gets a local crew in each one, so the look stays consistent and you are not paying to fly a package around. Our busiest markets are interview crews in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Chicago and Washington DC. Browse every city we cover or meet our staff crews.

Interview shoots most often book directors of photography, audio technicians and teleprompter operators. See also our podcast crews, sports crews and the unscripted shows we crew.

Interview crewing questions

What does an interview crew include?+

Most interview shoots run a director of photography with a full camera, lighting and audio package, plus an audio technician when the setup calls for isolated tracks or more than two subjects. We add a production assistant for larger days.

How many cameras do I need for an interview?+

Two is the working default — one tight, one wide — so the editor can cut without a visible jump. A single camera works for straightforward pieces, and three or more suits panel conversations and cross-shot formats.

Can you shoot interviews in our office?+

Yes, and most of our interview work is on location rather than in a studio. We bring lighting and sound treatment, and we scout the room on arrival to pick the background that reads best on camera.

Do you handle interview audio?+

Yes. Lavs plus boom where the room is difficult, isolated tracks per subject, and split audio delivered so problems can be fixed in the edit rather than reshot.

Can you crew interviews in multiple cities?+

Yes. We cover 50+ US markets with 21 staff DPs plus a freelance bench, so an interview series running through several cities gets a local crew in each one with a consistent look.

How fast can you book an interview crew?+

Same-week bookings are routine and next-day is often possible in major markets. Send the date, city and format and we will confirm availability.
