Lights, camera, red carpet! Nashville cameraman, who lives in the birthplace of country music, got to film country music’s best on the red carpet of CMT’s 7th Annual Artists of the Year Awards for E! Entertainment at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

I got to film as E! asked Carrie Underwood, “What do you love most about being on tour?,” Luke Bryan, “Who would you like to work with in the future?,” Kelsea Ballerini, “How does it feel to be honored as Breakthrough Artist of the Year?,” and Florida Georgia Line, “What was it like working with Tim McGraw for your latest single?” Shania Twain was also there and was the first female to receive the prestigious “Artist of a Lifetime” award.

I checked in at 4 p.m. to pick up my credentials and get set up. The artists began arriving at 5:30 p.m. and we started rolling. After wrapping up I fed the footage to Stagepost for editing. It was a successful shoot. I need to listen to more country music!
