I manage and coordinate UAS (drone) operations at Raycom Sports. I have a current FAA Part 107 Certificate, NC UAS Commercial Operator Permit, and NC UAS Government Operator Permit. I manage SOP documentation and checklists, in addition to strategic planning and scheduling. I have experience working with high profile talent in fast-paced environments. I have a very strong relationship with the FAA and can receive airspace authorization in very restrictive areas. My preflight UAS management duties include flight planning, flight safety, airspace research (national + local), monitoring NOTAMs, and obtaining FAA airspace authorizations and waivers. Additionally, my responsibilities encompass obtaining insurance, site safety management, maintaining a pre and post flight checklist, meteorological research, monitoring system firmware, and visual aircraft/system inspection. During flights, I act as the remote pilot in command (RPIC) and coordinate visual observers as well as others on our flight operations team. I execute flight missions safely and successfully while following all applicable federal and local laws. My post flight UAS management duties include safely securing the UAS, battery management, equipment upkeep and licensing, maintaining an accurate logbook for myself (the remote pilot in command) and the UAS (for equipment/battery cycling management).
