Description If you're looking for a filmmaker who truly understands the power of storytelling through visuals, I’d love to collaborate. My name is Than Zaw Oo, or TZO, and I’m a Dallas-based filmmaker with a deep passion for cinematography. Originally from Mae La, a refugee camp in Thailand, I moved to the U.S. at the age of ten. That transition introduced me to filmmaking and sparked a lifelong appreciation for visual storytelling that has shaped my entire career. Driven by that early connection, I pursued my craft and earned a BFA from The University of Texas at Arlington. Cinematography is at the heart of everything I do. Whether I’m working with Canon, Sony, Blackmagic, or RED Komodo, I’m dedicated to creating cinematic, emotionally resonant visuals that serve the story. I bring both technical expertise and a deep respect for the filmmaking process to every shoot.
