RJ Ramsey is a versatile cinematographer, filmmaker, and editor with expertise in cinematography, visual effects, and post-production. As founder of SCATTRD SEED MEDIA, he has produced award-winning and festival-recognized work, including So Is The Mother (Most Aspiring Filmmaker Award, 2024), The Stranger (screened at four national film festivals), and Why (finalist at the Peachtree Village International Film Festival). His portfolio spans short and feature films, music videos, documentaries, and commercials, blending technical precision with compelling visual storytelling. RJ is proficient with cinema cameras such as the Sony FX6 and FX30 and skilled in shot list development, storyboarding, and lighting design. His post-production expertise includes editing, color grading, and VFX using Adobe Creative Suite, as well as innovative applications of AI platforms including VEO 2, VEO 3, LTX Studio, Hedra, and Adobe Firefly. With nearly 30 years of experience in music production, he brings a strong sense of rhythm, pacing, and sound design to every project. He earned his B.S. in Digital Cinematography from Full Sail University, graduating Salutatorian with a 3.97 GPA and inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, where he maintained membership throughout his studies. A retired U.S. Army E-8 with 20 years of service, RJ applies leadership, discipline, and logistical precision to film production, ensuring both creative excellence and professional execution.
