About Rachael

I consider myself a Swiss Army Knife teacher due to my experience teaching multiple subjects over multiple grade levels. I have 15 years of experience as an educator, teaching in both the private and public sector, domestically and internationally. My desire for novelty and growth has led me to find unique positions in education, wherein I consistently learn and teach new subject matter. My greatest strength as a teacher has always been engaging students through interactive learning. My creativity allows me the unique opportunity of transforming the mundane to mesmerizing. My enthusiasm is contagious and my ability to adapt the material to meet the individual learning styles of my students is what separates me from other educators. I view teaching as the entrusted responsibility to cultivate academic and personal growth for each student according to their specialized needs. Another particular advantage I have as an educator is my fluency in the Spanish language, having majored in the language in college and tested at a native level upon my graduation. I have lived five years in Central and South America and through that experience have gained an in-depth knowledge of the culture and colloquialisms of various Latin American countries. More recently, I studied in Brazil in order to expand my linguistic abilities and achieve an intermediate level of Portuguese.
