Book 20 Shoots, Unlock Premium Free — The Tier That Growing Production Companies Earn
Last week we announced that clients who book 50+ shoots per year automatically earn a free Enterprise membership — our top tier, normally $6,000/year, completely on the house. Today, we are rolling out the other half of that equation: clients who book 20 or more shoots per year now automatically earn a free Premium membership.
If Enterprise is the all-access backstage pass, Premium is the VIP upgrade that transforms how you find, book, and manage production crew. And just like Enterprise, it is earned through volume — no subscription payment required.
What Free Premium Includes
The Premium tier is normally priced at $2,400 per year. When you earn it through shoot volume, you get every feature at zero cost:
3 Job Listings Per Month
Premium members can post up to 3 job listings every calendar month on the Assignment Desk gig finder. Whether you are looking for a camera operator for a one-day corporate shoot, a field producer for a two-week documentary, or a permanent staff addition to your team, your listings go live with auto-approval — no waiting for staff review.
Three listings per month may sound modest, but consider the math: that is 36 job postings per year reaching our network of 4,200+ production professionals. Each listing stays active until you close it, so a single well-written post can generate applications for weeks.
1 Free Display Ad
Every Premium member receives one free display ad placement scoped to a single city or a single crew role. Target camera operators in your home market, or reach all crew in a city where you are expanding. The ad appears across the platform — in the crew directory, on city pages, and in search results — putting your brand in front of exactly the audience you want.
Display ads at this level normally cost hundreds of dollars per month. As a volume-based Premium member, yours is included at no charge.
Crew Search Priority
When you search the Assignment Desk crew directory, Premium members get enhanced results. Your searches surface more detailed crew profiles, and you get access to advanced filtering options that help you find the perfect crew match faster. Priority placement in search means you see the most relevant crew first.
Featured Ad Card in Directory
Your company gets a featured placement card in the crew directory. When crew members browse listings or search for opportunities, your brand appears as a highlighted card — establishing your company as an active, trusted booker on the platform. This visibility helps attract top talent to your shoots.
Self-Serve Ad Management Portal
Premium unlocks a dedicated ad management dashboard where you can create, edit, pause, and track your display ads without contacting support. See impressions, clicks, and engagement metrics in real time. Swap out creative, adjust targeting, and optimize your campaigns on your own schedule.
Invoice & Payment History
Access your complete billing history in one place. View every invoice, track payment status, download receipts, and reconcile your Assignment Desk spending with your internal accounting. No more chasing down paperwork — it is all in your portal.
1 Team User Seat
Premium includes one additional team user seat beyond your primary account. Add a colleague — a producer, coordinator, or office manager — who can log in with their own credentials and manage bookings alongside you. Both users share crew ratings, notes, and booking history.
How Volume-Based Premium Works
The mechanics mirror our Enterprise program:
- Book shoots through Assignment Desk. Every completed, paid shoot counts toward your annual total.
- Hit 20 shoots in a calendar year. When your 20th shoot payment clears, your account is automatically upgraded to Premium.
- Enjoy Premium for the rest of the year + all of next year. The upgrade applies immediately and lasts through December 31 of the following calendar year.
- On January 1, the counter resets. If you booked 20+ shoots the prior year, Premium renews. If you hit 50+, you jump straight to Enterprise. If you dipped below 20, you return to Standard — but you keep your current tier through the end of the recalculation window.
The upgrade is automatic and instant. No forms to fill out, no sales calls to schedule. Book your 20th shoot, pay the invoice, and your portal lights up with Premium features. You will receive a celebration email confirming your upgrade and walking you through everything that just unlocked.
The Path from Premium to Enterprise
Here is what makes this system exciting for growing production companies: Premium is not a ceiling — it is a launchpad.
At 20 shoots, you unlock Premium and its suite of tools. As your production volume grows and you cross 50 shoots, you automatically jump to Enterprise with unlimited job listings, team environments for 50 users, QuickBooks integration, 3 free display ads, and a dedicated account manager. The tier system rewards growth at every stage.
Consider the trajectory:
- Year 1: You book 22 shoots → earn free Premium ($2,400 value)
- Year 2: Business grows, you book 38 shoots → Premium renews, you are building momentum
- Year 3: You cross 50 shoots → automatic Enterprise upgrade ($6,000 value)
Over three years, you have received $10,800 worth of platform features at zero cost — simply by doing the work you were already doing, through a platform designed to make that work easier.
Who Should Pay Attention
If any of these describe your company, free Premium is within reach:
- Regional production companies booking crew for local and national clients across 15-30 shoots per year
- Corporate video departments producing internal communications, training videos, and event coverage on a regular cadence
- Marketing agencies with video production arms that staff up for campaign shoots throughout the year
- News bureaus and broadcasters that rely on freelance crew for field coverage across multiple markets
- Sports networks booking camera operators for games, events, and shoulder programming
If you are already booking 15-18 shoots a year, you are close. Consolidating a few more bookings through Assignment Desk — instead of sourcing crew through personal contacts or competitor platforms — puts you over the threshold and unlocks $2,400 in annual value.
Your Effective Tier: Always the Higher One
One important detail: if you have both a paid subscription and volume-based qualification, your effective tier is always the higher of the two. If you pay for Premium but your shoot volume qualifies you for Enterprise, you get Enterprise. If you earn free Premium through volume but want to subscribe to Enterprise for the team features, your subscription takes precedence. The system always works in your favor.
