While I have a unique blend of creative and technical skills, my background is in screenwriting and directing, where I've spent years bringing narratives to life. My work has been recognized at numerous film festivals, including The Big Apple Film Festival. Storytelling is what gets me out of bed in the morning. My experience covers the whole creative process, from the very first idea to the final cut. I'm a writer at heart, and I’ve had the pleasure of crafting narratives for a few projects, including my feature script "Sweet Child of Mine," which was a semi-finalist at the Big Apple Film Festival, and the award-winning web series "Masterpiece." Each project showcases my ability to develop complex characters, intricate plots, and impactful thematic elements. When I'm directing, I get to take my vision and bring it to life on screen. I love guiding a team and making key decisions in the editing room to make sure the final film really connects with people. The numerous official selections and awards from festivals like Longleaf Film Festival and Thru the Lens Film Festival are a great bonus and a huge validation of all that hard work. Beyond creating my own stories, one of my biggest passions is helping other writers tell theirs. I'm a pro at script analysis and have worked as a script reader for film festivals and other production companies. My job is to dive deep into a script, looking at everything from the overall plot to the character arcs and dialogue. I love giving detailed, practical feedback that helps writers elevate their work. It's like being a detective for stories, uncovering all the great stuff and pointing out where things could be even stronger. I've authored comprehensive coverage reports, providing insightful critiques and recommendations for agents, managers, and studios. My skills don't just stop at film. I've also spent time in the world of content development for a major tech company. It was a great opportunity to apply my creative and analytical skills in a totally different way. I had the chance to lead a fantastic team, where my main goal was to refine and certify a variety of content to make sure it was always top-notch. It was also incredibly rewarding to mentor and coach my teammates on best practices, focusing on things like the right style and tone. I love managing projects and leading creative teams, and this role really solidified my ability to contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced environment. I've got a solid foundation thanks to my Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from UNC School of the Arts and my Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Sam Houston State University. But beyond the degrees, I'm naturally a proactive, self-motivated person who loves to collaborate.
