Description I’m a seasoned educator with over 33 years of experience as a Special Education teacher, bringing a deep understanding of how to connect with children of all ages, abilities, and learning styles. As a set or studio teacher, I offer more than just classroom management—I bring the ability to adapt quickly to diverse student needs, create structure within the unpredictable rhythm of a film set, and maintain both educational integrity and legal compliance. I’m experienced in crafting meaningful learning opportunities on the fly and supporting children academically, emotionally, and socially—even in fast-paced environments. My background in Special Education has equipped me with a unique skill set: IEP interpretation, curriculum adaptation, behavioral support, and trauma-informed strategies. Whether a student needs enrichment, redirection, or a quiet space to regroup, I respond with empathy, flexibility, and professionalism. I understand the balance required to meet production demands while protecting the educational rights and emotional well-being of young performers. I’m reliable, discreet, and collaborative with parents, guardians, and production teams. I’m also well-versed in child labor laws related to filming, including instruction hours, work/rest ratios, and documentation. My goal is to ensure that while children are on set, they’re not just meeting requirements—they’re truly learning and thriving.
