James Woolard is an American screenwriter, actor and script supervisor with a B.A in Film and Video Studies from George Mason University. Woolard has most recently been credited as the creator/writer of Fillers (2018), a web series pilot that screened at the Washington West Film Festival and the Virginia Film Festival. Among many other miscellaneous credits, Woolard has worked as the script supervisor on 12 films including Slam! (2018), directed by Ryan Boera, which premiered at the Baltimore International Black Film Festival. During his studies, though specializing in writing for the moving image, Woolard also took classes in cinematography, sound editing and recording and producing, making him familiar with various departments in film. In fact, aside from working with scripts as a writer or script supervisor, he has worked and been credited as Assistant Camera on a short film titled Burp, directed by Colette Burson, creator and showrunner of HBO's TV series Hung. Woolard's skills include a mastery of Final Draft, Celtx and Writer's Duet along with Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel. He has an intermediate understanding of all departments within a film production and an advanced understanding of the writing process. Editing programs that Woolard is familiar with includes Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro. Other attributes include excellent time management, the ability to take on leadership positions, proficiency in logging data, and the ability to adjust to changes quickly and effectively.
