Here Comes Rusty Boom Operator Sept 2015 Including handing out headsets to the director, line producer, and producers, I was responsible for capturing sound above actors using a boom microphone during mostly every scene and every take (everything excluding wide angle shots). USS Indianapolis Production Inc. Sound Assistant June- July 2015 Technically this position is called Sound Utility. I handed out and gathered comtek’s and headsets. I was responsible for putting microphones on actors or planting them in the room, telling the mixer what channel was being used on each microphone, replace batteries, etc. I also used a boom pole to catch sounds of actors in the water while balancing in a boat in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. USS Indianapolis Production Inc. Producer’s Assistant May - June 2015 Carried out instruction from Tim Cavanaugh and Bill Wilson assisting them throughout preproduction of the film. I drove to Venice, Louisiana (4 hours away) to give a Skype call from the lift-boat we ended up shooting off of our first two weeks in production. I took notes and pictures during meetings to send to our producers back in LA. I assisted in any part of preproduction I could. Nightlife Virginia Staff Photographer February 2013 – June 2013 Richmond, VA Nightlifevirginia.com Photographer for events in the community being covered by the web site, Nightlife Virginia. Photos taken are used to market and publicize events in and around Richmond. Some of the events photographed, and credited for are local bands that performed at venues such as The Camel and Republic. Also photographed the downtown Richmond “scene” at bars and clubs such as, Society, Lucky Buddha, Hat Factory, Off the Hookah, FW Sullivan’s, Starlite, 3 Monkeys, etc. Sea Lab - Marine Environmental Sciences Consortium IT Department – Internship May 2011 – Sept. 2011 Dauphin Island, AL Responsible for filming and recording all marine animals for the use in training materials, advertising materials and training materials used. Designed and created new Web site for Sea Lab, using the leading web design software, Adobe Dreamweaver. Cataloging over 30 years of press releases, photos, and other historical data into online database. Virginia Commonwealth University Creative Services and Publications Department 2009 - 2011 Richmond, VA Work with the photography staff on photo shoots and uploading of photos taken, catalog, tag for use in University publications including: Human Resources publications, Medical School publications, University publications on Finance, Enrollment, Housing, etc. This department is also responsible for all photography used on the University’s websites. My position working with the Publications department will continue in the fall at the request of the management team, based upon my work ethics, attendance and quality of my performance.
