Jamal Crawford is widely considered the greatest 6th man in NBA history and one of the most knowledgeable minds of the sport. Hailing from Seattle Washington, Crawford has a personal connection to basketball in Seattle since the loss of the Supersonics. Atlanta DP Nate Silverman sat down to hear his Seattle basketball stories in the first episode of Uninterrupted: The Real Stories of Basketball a partnership between My Entertainment and Lebron James/Maverick Carter production company Uninterrupted.

Shooting in Atlanta, Georgia at Morehouse College’s basketball arena the overhead lights were unable to be turned off so to over power the arena lights, Jamal was keyed using an Aputure 600d. In order to highlight the background, a Nanlite Forza 300 with fresnel head was used to create a slash on the bleachers and floor behind. Another Nanlite Forza 60 was used as a hair light. Interviews were shot on a Sony FX9 and Sony FX6 with a set of Cooke Speed Panchro primes. The 50mm used for the medium shot into camera, and 85mm used on the tight shot.

It was great time shooting with Jamal Crawford, and his interviews will be featured throughout the series airing on Vice TV.
