Our Toronto DP, Hayden Broomhead, recently got to shoot player interviews for NHL Finals Media Day! The interviews took place inside a locker room, where Hayden and the crew pulled together a custom background using plastic tiles, foam boards, and command strips.
The lighting setup included an Aputure 300D with a softbox and grid as the top-down key light, and a 60X to bring some shape and detail to the players’ faces. A flag helped control spill from the 60X, and two tube lights were added to create texture in the background.
The final look was moody and polished—just the right tone for the energy TNT wanted to capture around the Finals.
