Nashville Crew “Travels Like a President” With Travel Channel

Although the chance I become leader of the free world is slim I can at least say I know what it’s like to travel like one.  I was in Asheville, NC shooting for a Travel Channel pilot on what it’s like to travel like the president.  Armed with an HDX 900 and a few Go Pros I got to work.

Two thumbs up strapping a Go Pro to the Head Pro’s forehead.

We were in Asheville because Obama has made a few stops there over the years. Most of what we shot was at the Grove Park Inn.  That’s where Obama stayed while he visited Asheville.  We shot interviews with the staff, b-roll of the presidential suite, and shots of the state of the art spa facility.  We also got on the golf course and did some specialty shots with the Head Pro using a Go Pro camera.  The second day was spent making stops at the Asheville Brewery and Corner Kitchen to get interviews about what it was like to have President Obama stop at their business.

Needless to say these two days with the Travel Channel were action packed.  It was a lot of fun to hear stories about Obama’s visits.  I can’t wait for the next shoot!

Yup, I mounted a Go Pro to a golf club.
