The interview took place in a garage styled building where there were multiple levels of vendors and speakers. Our crew was led by staff to the top-level makeup room where speakers were being prepped for interviews.

What equipment do you use when working with the Kardashians?!

Brendan and the crew were able to set up in the makeup prepping space to interview the oldest Kardashian. To capture the footage, a Sony F55 was set up along with two Astra 6x light panels. The first light panel was set up as a key light with a softbox over it. The second was set up over Kourtney right shoulder set up as a kicker light. Both lights are battery operated which is great for interviews in busy or tight spaces!

“Kourtney and her team were amazing to work with. They were considerate to the production crew, and Kourtney was a natural on camera! She was so relaxed and descriptive when answering the interview questions.” – DP, Brendan Compton

So tell me more about the interview…

The producer conducted the interview with Kourtney which was seamless. The audio was captured through a boom as well as a stick mic. This setup requires two channels for the audio and allows the footage to be appropriately edited with the sound bites.
