Production Coordinator – Sports, Television / Streaming & Video Production
Assignment Desk, a national video production company based in Charleston, SC, is looking for a Production Coordinator to join our team.
We help major sports networks, news organizations, entertainment companies, and corporate clients produce video shoots across the country. Our job is ensuring the right crews, equipment, and logistics come together, often on tight deadlines.
Did you watch the Super Bowl, NBA All-Star Game, or HGTV's House Hunters this year? Those are the kinds of productions our crews work on. Our team coordinates the camera crews and field production that make those shows happen.
The best part? We get to do it while working in Charleston, South Carolina.
This is a real entry point into the television business. Some people use a job like this to launch careers across sports, news, and entertainment. Others build a great life here in Charleston working in media and production.
Charleston is a great place to start a career in media and production. We regularly work with major sports broadcasts, national news organizations, entertainment companies, and digital platforms. If you're the kind of person who watches a big game, awards show, or a documentary and wonders how the crews, cameras, and logistics all come together behind the scenes, this job gives you a front-row seat to how the television business actually works.
We're growing and looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
What This Job Is
This is a logistics and operations role, similar to the Assignment Desk at a TV news station.
You will help book camera crews, coordinate video shoots across the country, and keep communication flowing between clients, crews, and our internal production team.
This job is fast-paced, deadline driven, and detail heavy.
What This Job Is NOT
This is not a creative role.
You won't be editing. You won't be directing shoots. You won't be traveling to set.
Instead, you'll be the person making the shoots happen behind the scenes.
There is also an on-call rotation, because in television and production things happen outside normal business hours and in all timezones.

- Coordinate video shoots for clients across the World
- Book camera crews, field producers, audio technicians and equipment

This job rewards people who take initiative. If you're the kind of person who can figure things out, make the call, and solve the problem before someone asks, you'll do very well here.
