Ever heard of a dog having to wear sunscreen? Neither had we! But, this is a reality for two pups named Xavier and Zander in North Carolina.
The young German Shepherd puppies have alopecia, which is a condition that causes hair loss in some or all areas of the body. The puppies were originally surrendered to a shelter and were thought to have a skin disease called Mange but then later discovered their real condition.
The DoDo called on our Charlotte DP, Tori Musciano, to take a trip to Wake Forest to visit the two pups, who are adorably nick-named X and Z. They are currently being fostered by Nicole in Wake Forest who lives with ten dogs altogether! The pups are just like any other dog, however they require a little extra care, including having to wear PJ’s and t-shirts and wearing sunscreen in the sunlight.
Our crew used a Sony F5 camera to capture the interview with Nicole and to capture b-roll of the puppies playing together. Tori also used 2x lite panels and one camera light to capture the interview and b-roll.
Luckily, this story has a happy ending! After the DoDo released the video, Zander was adopted!! Congrats to the happy family and their new pup!
Thank you to the DoDo for letting Go To Team’s video camera crews be a part of this shoot! We look forward to working with you again in the future.
