Getting your Spring Break bod ready?? We’re all familiar with the concept of you and your friends hitting the gym to get in shape together. But what about you and your pet?
So follows the story of King, the 36 pound cat. King’s previous owner suffered from Alzheimers and would fill up his food bowl whenever he noticed it was empty. After his owner passed away, King was adopted by a 61 year old who is on a health journey of their own. His new owner recently lost 127 pounds and just ran in their very first marathon.
The DoDo called in our Charlotte DP, Tori Musciano, to capture the heart-warming story of King’s transition to his new home. Tori shot the piece on a Sony FS5 with 24-70mm lens. They captured the shoot in s-log, with some of it being in 4k quality. For a couple on the fly interviews, Tori used one light panel and then for the sit-down interviews, they used two light panels. The DoDo prefers to stay away from the cinematic style and wants to focus on more of a documentary style shoot.
King and his new owner are working on their weight loss goal together and have a plan in mind. His new diet includes just ⅓ of a cup twice a day to ensure his weight and his health returns to normal. He is getting an automated food dispenser to help regulate his eating habits. His owner is getting a harness to walk King and he is even looking into a water treadmill to help King exercise.
As always, our video camera crews loved working with the DoDo and the animals. We are hoping for a healthy weight loss journey for King and we look forward to working with The DoDo again in the future!
