Last week, our crew had the opportunity to film another episode for Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation, this time featuring California business, Electroloom. After an overwhelmingly successful Kickstarter campaign, this groundbreaking company has invented a 3D printer for clothing, such as skirts and shirts. How cool is that?!

Our crew, including a producer, camera operator and sound operator, had a great time learning about this state-of-the-art technology. We used a Panasonic HDX900 to Odyssey 7Q to capture the footage from the interview, b-roll and and stand ups.

The ‘cloth’ material is sprayed from a grid of small nozzles onto garment-shaped, metal templates. The company hopes that anyone with a small bit of CAD ability will be able to design seamless fabrics on demand.
